We want every patient to feel comfortable exploring our curated selection of frames during their styling appointment. Our team is here to collaborate with you, with personalized advice and the option to try on as many pairs as you’d like.

Meet Our Doctor

Dr. Mei Fleming, OD

Dr. Mei Fleming is an honors graduate of the UC Berkeley School of Optometry with more than 20 years of experience in comprehensive and medical eye care. Recognized for her expertise in dry eye and ocular surface disease, she also trains and mentors optometrists in advanced dry eye diagnosis and treatment.

Dr. Fleming holds bachelor’s degrees in Molecular & Cell Biology and Vision Science and has received the Dean’s Optometric Thesis Award and the Alcon Contact Lens Excellence Award. Throughout her career, she has remained deeply committed to patient education and preventative care, combining advanced clinical technology with a thoughtful, highly individualized approach to each patient’s vision, lifestyle, and long-term eye health.

Her expertise in dry eye and ocular surface disease integrates advanced diagnostic testing, modern treatment modalities, and customized medical therapies. Rather than simply managing symptoms, Dr. Fleming focuses on identifying and addressing the underlying causes to support lasting ocular surface health and comfort

Dr. Fleming founded Luminance Vision in 2017. A Bay Area native and longtime Lamorinda resident, she brings a strong sense of connection to the community she serves. Outside the office, she enjoys fashion, weight training, exploring the Bay Area, traveling, discovering new places, and spending time with family and friends. Her warmth, curiosity, and attention to detail are reflected not only in her personal interests, but also in the way she cares for and connects with her patients.
